Three Mobile Mission Training Centers

The ELCS has few trained pastors serving many members. This project enables pastors to travel to three locations, Nuba, Malakal and Maiwut to conduct intensive leadership training two times a year. Lay leaders are taught to lead worship and bible study, and care for the Christians whom they prepare for baptism. Lay leaders work with and under pastors to care for the ELCS congregations.

Chapel Roofs

Six churches will be roofed.  Most of the present worship centers are built with grass which needs renovation every year as the grass is eaten by the white ants during the dry season. Consequently, when it starts to the roof is washed away. Some of the centers are currently under trees. In these centers worship is often interrupted when it begins to rain. The project money will be used to purchase zinc, nails, timber, and transport of materials.
